Laboratories

Developing collaborative learning skills

Laboratory has been given a central and distinctive role in science education. In Bhavan-Bangalore Press School laboratory is considered as an essential criterion in promoting students to acquire knowledge with scientific inquiry method. We help students to develop a growing understanding of the complexity and ambiguity of empirical work, as well as the skills to calibrate it. A unique learning environment is set through which students can work cooperatively in small groups to investigate scientific phenomena. Thus, our laboratories offer productive and co-operative interactions among students and the teachers to promote positive learning environment.

Physics Lab

This is a place where our students become tiny scientists, exploring the world of space with a telescope or learning the concepts and laws, guiding us.

Chemistry Lab

Is a place where our students enjoy being as they are able to see and perform all the experiments live.

Biology Lab

The Biology lab has been a place of experimentation and a place where they are able to satisfy their urge to know more about life.

Geography Lab

The models in the Geography lab help the students to know more about the world, about the formation of day and night, eclipse etc.

Computer Lab

Students attain digital literacy is by having hands-on experience with computer equipment. The computers are connected to a school-wide network, which enables our students to work on projects at any of our computers and allows teachers to track their progress. All classes use the lab 30 to 60 minutes a week, depending on the grade level.

Maths Lab

Traditional methods of teaching are no longer adequate hence we have set up a math’s lab to cater to the needs of the children. It is found that the Maths lab is more effective than our traditional method and students enjoy working there. Training in Abacus is also a part of the curriculum.
